Day of Mourning
April 28
April 28th marks Day of Mourning across Canada.
Families, friends, workers, employers, and communities will gather to remember those who’s lives were lost while on the job. Workplace health and safety is a shared responsibility, where on this day of observance workers and employers, together renew their commitment to creating a healthy, safe workplace for all.
Flags will be flown at half-mast to commemorate and honour those lost and those affected by tragic losses on the job.
