The District’s utilities department has advised that due to current weather conditions, scheduled repairs on the lift station requiring the temporary road closure for the Gibraltar St.-Hardy Bay Road connector are being delayed. While there will be crews on site completing preparatory work this week, the road will not be subjected to a complete closure. The complete closure is expected to begin next week, December 5th or 6th (weather depending).

A section of Gibraltar St. will be subject to a temporary road closure for lift station repairs starting Monday, November 28th from 7:00 A.M. through to 4:00 P.M. Friday, December 2nd. The road will be completely closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic and will remain in effect overnights. Plan travel, accordingly, use detour where required. Respect all traffic signage, barriers, and instructions from crews. View notice below for map of closure.

    Alternate routes include:

    • Access to Gibraltar St. will be available from the Robert Scott entrance along Hardy Bay Road.
