Following changes in 2023 to Provincial legislation requiring local governments across British Columbia to update their housing needs assessments, a housing needs assessment was completed for Port Hardy to collect information on how many housing units are needed now in the community and in the future. The results of the assessment for Port Hardy have been summarized in the 2024 Housing Needs Report and is now available for review.
