    BC Hydro Planned Power Outage

    April 30, 2025

    A planned power outage is scheduled for the Vancouver Island North region to complete critical maintenance work and infrastructure upgrades.
    Date: Sunday, May 25
    Time: 8 A.M. – 7 P.M.
    Location Port Hardy (And neighbouring communities!)
    Here are a few tips to help you plan ahead:
    • Unplug major appliances and electronics.
    • Charge personal devices.
    • Prepare supplies needed for the day (this may include food, water, fuel, and other items).
    • Have a flashlight ready, works may take longer than anticipated.
