Annual Spring Clean-Up Event

The Annual Spring Clean-Up Week returns May 20-24. Between 11 AM-4 PM Tuesday through Saturday, Port Hardy residents may dispose of ACCEPTED household items (see list below) at the Tacan Site FREE of charge.
ACCEPTING:
- Furniture (wooden or fabric-covered wood)
- Residential wood waste
- Washers, dryers, stoves & dishwashers
- Rugs and mattresses
- EMPTY propane tanks with valves removed
- Scrap metal, barbecues
- Toys, bicycles, child car seats, strollers
- Batteries
- TV & computer monitors to be placed in designated bins
- Food waste accepted at regular cost*
NO: Styrofoam, insulation, fluorescent tube lights, hot tubs, tires, chemicals, drywall, ceiling tiles, floor tiles, linoleum, carpet, underlay, contractor waste, or commercial waste.
There will be a maximum of 3 vehicles permitted at a time. Respect and follow directions from staff at all times.
CURBSIDE PICK-UP FOR SENIORS & PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
Seniors and persons with disabilities may register for free, curbside pick-up of accepted items only. Space is limited. Registration for curbside pick-up opens May 12. Call 250-949-7779 ext. 301 between 1-4 pm to sign up. Space is limited. Curbside pick-up will be subject to volunteer availability.
