Prostate Cancer Awareness Month
September 1 at 6:00 am - September 30 at 11:30 pm
Event Navigation
September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, a month to come together to transform the future of Prostate Cancer for the 24,000 Canadians expected to be diagnosed with Prostate Cancer this year.
Unfortunately, there usually aren’t any early warning signs for Prostate Cancer. The growing tumor does not push against anything to cause pain, so for many years the disease may be silent. That’s why screening for Prostate Cancer is such an important topic for all men and their families. Nearly 100% of men with Prostate Cancer will survive at least 5 years after their diagnosis if it is caught early. If it is diagnosed late, just 3 in 10 are expected to survive five years.
