    Public Works & Parks Summer Student Opportunities

    Are you an outdoor enthusiast? Is mowing grass your jam? Can you work and talk at the same time? If so, do we have a job for you!

    The District of Port Hardy is now accepting applications from energetic students interested in summer employment with our Public Works and Parks Department. Summer students perform a diverse range of labor-related duties and tasks such as grass cutting, raking, pruning, watering, painting, edging, and gardening tasks in District parks, trails, cemetery and sport field facilities.

    The terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the IUOE Collective Agreement. The hourly rate for this position is $19.01.

    Requirements:

    To be considered for this opportunity candidates must be either attending or returning to their post-secondary education at the conclusion of the summer season.

    Offers will be made conditional on funding being available.
