Capital Budget

The District of Port Hardy utilizes visioning documents such as the Official Community Plan (OCP) to determine the investments and infrastructure projects the community wants and needs.  Projects must be weighed carefully each year. Council must balance infrastructure priorities, which include new projects and upgrades or replacement of aging equipment, with the municipality’s ability to pay, reasonable taxation levels and the need to build reserves.
