RFP 1220-20-600-2025 Dam Safety Review

The District of Port Hardy is seeking submissions from qualified engineering professionals or firms with demonstrated experience in dam safety to assist with bringing the Kains Lake Dam (D720113) and the Tsulquate River Diversion Dam (D720173) into full compliance with British Columbia’s Dam Safety Regulation under the Water Sustainability Act.

This is a request for proposals, not a call for tenders or requests for offers. No contractual obligations shall arise between the District and a Proponent upon the Proponent’s submission of a Proposal to the District.

All enquiries regarding this RFP are to be directed, in writing or by email, to the following person before the specified closing date/time. Information from any other source is not official and should not be relied upon. Enquiries and responses will be recorded and may be distributed to all Proponents at the District of Port Hardy’s option.

Proposals will be received by the District until Friday, July 25, 2025, at 3:00 p.m.

Proponents should submit electronically one (1) PDF file with the Subject “Dam Safety Report – RFP 1220-20-600-2025” in the subject line to tenders@porthardy.ca, or one (1) original hard copy of their Proposal to:
